Maroochydore Rugby Club is located right in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. Our club rooms and playing fields are located just one hundred metres from the famous Maroochydore surfing beach.

Maroochydore Rugby is the longest established club on the Sunshine Coast having been formed in 1975. We compete in the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union competition in all grades from Under 7s through to Colts, womens, A and B Grades.

Come down to the 'Cotton Dome' and join in the successs with the Swans!

Under 16 Champions !!!

Exciting 7s rugby was the order of the day at Maroochydore Rugby Union ground last Saturday with 23 teams running around in four age divisions. The Under 16 competition lived up to all expectations with a great competition between teams from Maroochydore, Mr Creek, Caloundra, Brothers and a Barbarians team who returned to defend their title in 2013.

Maroochydore Strike Back !!!

The Maroochydore Under 16 team gained revenge for their loss in the 2013 Under 15 tournament with an after the siren try against Barbarians in the Under 16 Grand Final of the SunSurf Junior 7s.

Under 14 Champions

The Under 14 7s competition demonstrated the strength of Borthers Rugby Union in 2014 with Brothers splitting their squad in two and taking on teams from Maroochydore and Caloundra. Brothers demonstrated their depth winning all their games and playing against each other in the grand final with Brothers Blue emerging victorius 22 - 5

Un 12 Champs

Under 12 Champions - Noosa

The Under 12 competition was the most popular with two pools of four teams competing for the prize. Wynnum Bugs travelled from Brisbane and they were joined by Noosa, Caloundra and Eumundi, Grammar who split into two teams and the Under 11 teams from Maroochydore and Caloundra. All the teams played hard and every team had at least one win over the day. Grammar Green topled Noosa in the round robin but the result was reveresed when the two teams met again in the grand final with Noosa winning 17 - 10 in a close game.
